Ok friends – it’s July 1! Let’s kick off this make-along with a free 8” square pattern I’ve used for blankets for years: a simple mitred square.
(Note: You do not have to use this pattern and may use any pattern you like! But I’ll be sharing some free patterns along the way that I’ve used before in case anyone needs some inspiration!)
8” Mitred Square
Needles: US 8/5mm
Yarn: any worsted acrylic

Row 1 (ws): k32, pm, k32.
Row 2: k to 2 st before marker, k2tog, sm, ssk, knit to end.
Row 3: k across, slipping marker when you come to it.
