Su26 MAL – Week 4

This week’s free 8” square pattern is the Flying Geese square! Mostly stockinette + a fun V design reminiscent of geese making their way south for the winter.

Flying Geese Square

Needles: US8/5mm (or your usual size for worsted weight yarn)

Yarn: any worsted acrylic

Co 39 stitches.

Setup row: k across.

Row 1: Sl1, p1, k9, p1, k15, p1, k9, p1, k1.

Row 2: Sl1, p1, k1, p9, k1, p13, k1, p9, k1, p1, k1.

Row 3: Sl1, k2, p1, k9, p1, k11, p1, k9, p1, k3.

Row 4: Sl1, p3, k1, p9, k1, p9, k1, p9, k1, p3, k1.

Row 5: Sl1, k4, p1, k9, p1, k7, p1, k9, p1, k5.

Row 6: Sl1, p5, k1, p9, k1, p5, k1, p9, k1, p5, k1.

Row 7: Sl1, k6, p1, k9, p1, k3, p1, k9, p1, k7.

Row 8: Sl1, p7, k1, p9, k1, p1, k1, p9, k1, p7, k1.

Row 9: Sl1, k8, p1, k9, p1, k9, p1, k9.

Row 10: Sl1, p9, k1, p17, k1, p10.

Repeat Rows 1 to 10 until you reach 8”, finishing with a RS row.

Final row: k across to end.

Bind off.
