This week’s free 8” square pattern is called the Longitude Square! It’s a simple garter square with a twist to keep it interesting.
(Pro tip: this is optional but I like to use a stitch marker before each purl stitch to remind me to purl those on the WS. Otherwise sometimes I get to chatting or watching a documentary and totally miss them and have to go back and fix them…ha!)
Longitude Square
Yarn: worsted
Needles: US8/5mm
CO 31.
Row 1: *k7, p1, rep from * twice, k7.
Row 2: k across.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until square measures 8” from cast on edge.
Bind off.
